A bit about me:
Hey, everyone! Thanks for visiting my website.
I’m an English education professor at a small university in South Korea and also a painter and avid outdoorsman who loves cycling, swimming, camping, and hiking. My international journey began over a decade ago when I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkmenistan. Since then, I’ve traveled extensively Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, eventually settling down in South Korea after meeting my lovely wife.
Korea is stunningly beautiful, and I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to visit so much of the country, either on my bike or with a paintbrush in hand.
After getting the Korea Cycling Grand Slam in 2019 and the Shinan Island medal in 2020, I began embracing my other great passion, art. I’ve taken lessons in Korean ink-wash and traditional folk painting, joined the Korea Creation Arts Association, and displayed my work at the Korean Creation Grand Art Exhibition. More exhibitions are on the horizon.
